mass start of the 2011 great midlands fun run
REGISTRATION: For the safety and enjoyment of all, a maximum of 7000 entries will be accepted in 2012. Registration will end when either the maximum number of entries has been received or Saturday, 31 March, 2012 whichever is soonest [no late entries will be accepted and no entries are accepted on the day of the Great Midlands Fun Run, Sunday, 10 June 2012]. Entries will be accepted on a first to register, first to run basis.
If your on-line entry is accepted, your entry fee adults £17; juniors [14 & under on 10 June] £10; dogs £5 is non-refundable.
Your official 2012 Great Midlands Fun Run sponsor form, will also act as your receipt and will only be issued after acceptance of your completed on-line entry.
Sponsor forms will be dispatched to your nominated address within ten working days and your event information pack, including your run number will be posted 2nd class on Monday, 14 May, 2012.
Remember you can nominate a charity, voluntary organisation or community interest group to receive the money you raise in sponsorship. The GMFR will, where possible, add further money to that which you raise, which means you can gain even greater benefit from your fund raising efforts. Please ensure you follow the paying-in instructions using your personalised Lloyds TSB credit slip included in your runners information pack, which you will receive in the post before the event on 10 June.
You enter the Great Midlands Fun Run entirely at your own risk and the organisers will not be held responsible for any injuries sustained by you or for any property lost before, during or after the event.
In completing your registration, you confirm that you are medically fit to particpate in the 8.5 mile event. You agree to support and pay all sponsor money raised by you to the 'Great Midlands Fun Run only if raising sponsor money off-line. All on-line fundraising through Virgin Money Giving will go direct to your nominated charity's bank account. You may wish to enter in person by taking your completed entry form and entry fee to the Our Place Community Hub, Farthing Lane, Sutton Coldfield, between 10am and 3pm Monday - Friday.
On safety grounds, all junior entrants - without exception - must assemble and start from the Junior/Family Assembly area in South Parade. Any juniors' whose course time indicates they have started from the Adult Assembly area, may have their course time removed from the official results published on the Fun Run web site and in the Sutton Observer. Adults who wish to start with juniors may assemble and start with them in South Parade. When entering, you agree to your email address being added to our email database which is used exclusively by us to distribute our free e-newsletter TracX. All participants and spectators may be filmed, photographed or recorded for broadcast, security, health and safety purposes.
