
Regional co-ordinator for BBC, Julie Robinson said: "We're thrilled to receive such a fabulous sum of money from the Fun Run, with particular thanks to Contract Fire Security and the staff and customers of Razors Edge hair salon.
"There is a firm belief by those undertaking research into the causes of breast cancer, that within ten years, no women in the UK will die from this particular cancer. But that requires continued financial support, so it's vital we continue to raise the necessary funds to make that belief a reality."
