We're delighted to welcome one of our main sponsors, Cookes Furniture as sponsor of the 2012 Team Challenge.
Last year's recipient of the Cookes Furniture Team Challenge Trophy, for the team raising the most sponsor money, was John Taylor Hospice. Its 475-strong team raised a staggering £27,000 for the Erdington based hospice, three miles noth of Birmingham city centre.
The Cookes Furniture Team Challenge is designed to encourage businesses, clubs, charities, schools, societies and sports teams, indeed any group of people, to participate in the Great Midlands Fun Run, while at the same time raising money for their chosen charity, voluntary group or community interest group.
There is no additional entry fee to enter the Team Challenge. All you need do is ensure you tick the TEAM CHALLENGE box when completing your on-line or postal entry form. You can enter a team from 2 up to 200 or beyond, the choice is yours. However, you can be certain your effort in raising valuable sponsor money for a charity, voluntary organisation or community interest group of your choice, will be even more rewarding.
Don't forget to ask your sponsors to GIFT AID their donation, which will add a further 25p for every pound you raise. Full details on GIFT AID can be found on the top right hand corner of your sponsor form.
All off-line sponsor money must be paid into the Great Midlands Fun Run Sponsorship Account, using the official pre-printed Fun Run/Lloyds TSB credit slip included in your information pack, which will be posted to you 2nd class on Monday, 14 May, 2012.
The closing date for paying-in sponsor money to be included in the Cookes Furniture Team Challenge is Friday, 14 September, 2012.
