Fun Run Flag raised as countdown continues

Brian Dixon, former Church Warden climbed the 75 steps of the church tower to raise the Fun Run flag over Holy Trinity Church, Sutton Coldfield.

The flag is proudly flying above the church until after the staging of the 6th Great Midlands Fun Run on Sunday 1 June.

A second Fun Run flag is flying outside Sutton Fire Station on Lichfield Road.

Tracey Spare, Event Director said: "I'm thrilled both Holy Trinity Parish Church and Sutton Fire Station have agreed to fly the Fun Run flag on their premises.

"We have a great working relationship with both organisations as we do with many others in the town.

"It's a fabulous gesture and reflects the positive feeling towards the event by those living and working in the town."
