Win a passenger ride in an Audi R8 Spyder and present Fun Run medals

Two of the Great Midlands Fun Run main sponsors, Cookes Furniture and Tamworth Audi are offering one lucky Observer reader, the unique opportunity to ride in an Audi R8 Spyder ahead of the 7000-strong field on Sunday, 10 June and then join the Cookes Furniture team to help present commemorative medals to those crossing the finish line.

Rob Dunn, Head of Business, Tamworth Audi explained: “We felt this was an opportunity to offer someone who missed out on participating in this year’s Fun Run, a unique experience to ride at the head of the capacity field in very special road car. As it will probably be the slowest ever ride in an Audi R8 Spyder, we’re also offering the winner a further passenger ride in the R8 Spyder at a later around the Tamworth area.”

Vanessa Hoe, Cookes Furniture’s Marketing Director, said: “With the 7000 available places having been filled, we thought along with Tamworth Audi it would be a great idea to offer a seat in the lead Audi R8 Spyder to someone who may have missed out on a place or wants to support friends or family participating in this year’s 10th Anniversary Great Midlands Fun Run. Once they return to the town centre, the winner will then join the Cookes Furniture team to help present medals to the entrants as they cross the finish line.

“We want to invite anyone who has a family member or friend participating in the Fun Run to complete the sentence below in not more than 30 words explaining why they would like to enjoy a passenger ride in the Audi R8 Spyder and help present Cookes Furniture Commemorative medals to finishers.”

Please also let us know in your email or letter the name of your friend or family member who has registered for this year’s Fun Run.

The winner will be notified in writing and will enjoy the ‘red carpet experience’ at this year’s Great Midlands Fun Run on Sunday, 10 June.
