More Family Entertainment in 2012

Thanks to the backing of three of the four Sutton Coldfield Constituency Wards, stilt walkers, face painters, balloon sculptors and a Punch & Judy Show will be located on The Parade on Fun Run Day, Sunday, 10 June.

"I'm delighted Trinity, New Hall and Four Oaks Wards have backed our special 10th Anniversary initiative," said Fun Run Event Director, Tracey Spare.

"With the possibility of more entrants than ever before, up to 7000, and therefore the potential for thousands more spectators in Sutton Coldfield town centre on Fun Run Day to watch the start and welcome home family and friends after their 8.5 mile challenge, we want to ensure we have plenty of family entertainment lined up.

"It promises to be the largest ever Fun Run and we want to ensure spectators and participants enjoy the day with family and friends.The Fun Run is the largest annual community event in Sutton Coldfield and we want everyone to walk away saying they've enjoyed the experience.

"Without the financial support of the three Constituency Wards, we would have struggled to find the funds to pay for the additional entertainment. It's a huge gesture from those three Constituency Wards and I think a tremendous endorsement for the event and for what it contributes to the town of Sutton Coldfield economically and socially."
