Race to be Top Team Hots Up

Unlike the British summer, the heat is on to be the Fun Run top team of 2008. The team which raises the most sponsorship money will be crowned as Cookes Furniture Team Challenge Winners.

Whittington based, St Giles Hospice, received the award last year after its team of 175 raised a record-breaking £31,000.

With under three weeks to go until the deadline for sponsorship money to be paid in - Friday 19 September - several teams have started to make their bid to become the top team of 2008.

Those already in the hunt to try and wrestle the title away fro St Giles include Birmingham Children's Hospital; Kababish Restaurant; Ichthyosis Support Group; Plantsbrook School; The Boot Inn[Rectory Rd, Sutton]; Dains Accountants; Age Concern, South Staffs; & Alzheimer's Lichfield.

The winners will be announced at the start of December at the same time as the total money raised from the 2008 is confirmed.
