Until now none of the providers of on-line fundraising have been able to provide the Fun Run with the basic information as to which entrant has raised what, for which charity.
However, Virgin Money Giving has now put in place the mechanism to provide us with this basic information, which will enable us to accurately announce in November how much money has been raised through Virgin Money Giving on-line fundraising and for which charities.
This announcement is important to our sponsors, entrants and charities nominated.
This means we will have a much better idea of the overall total raised through Virgin Money Giving on-line and off line fundraising.
As Virgin Money Giving is a Not-For-Profit organisation, its charges are significantly lower than its competitors, which means more of your hard earned sponsor money reaches your chosen charity.
Your effort in completing the 8.5 mile Fun Run course is therefore even more rewarding.
As Virgin Money Giving takes not a penny in profit, it can keep its charges very low, which means your charity receives an extra £1 for every £30 donated by your sponsors compared with Just Giving.
Virgin Money Giving collects the Gift Aid for free and sends that direct to your chosen charity, which means typically they will receive £36.46 in total for every £30 you’re sponsored [based on donations by Visa Debit card with Gift Aid reclaimed].
